Learning to Say Sorry

In the building corner of the classroom, Ben is deeply focused. He stacks wooden blocks one by one, building a tall, magnificent tower. Ben gently stands on his tiptoes to place the final block on the very top, cheering: - Look! My tower is the tallest in the class! Leo, who is painting nearby, turns around to look at the tower with wide, admiring eyes.

Leo holds his finished painting of a little dinosaur and runs to find the teacher. But oh no! Leo trips over a toy block on the floor. He loses his balance and stumbles forward. Clatter! Ben's beautiful wooden tower crashes down, and the blocks scatter everywhere. Ben's face turns red with anger as he shouts: - You broke my tower! Terrified, Leo drops his painting and quickly runs to hide in the reading corner.

Hearing the loud crash, Teacher Emma walks over gently. She sits down to comfort Ben, helping him calm down. Then, she walks to the reading corner where Leo is crying softly. Teacher Emma gently hugs Leo's shoulders and whispers: - I know you did not mean to do it. But Ben is very sad about his tower. Can you go talk to him and say sorry? Leo wipes his tears, nods, and slowly stands up.

Leo walks back to Ben slowly. He looks straight into Ben's eyes, his voice trembling a little but sincere: - I am sorry for knocking down your tower. I did not mean to do it. Hearing Leo's apology, Ben's anger melts away. He looks at the scattered blocks and smiles: - It is okay. Just be more careful next time! Ben picks up the dinosaur painting from the floor and hands it back to Leo.

Leo puts his dinosaur painting on the table and smiles at Ben: - Let us build a new tower together! The two boys sit down on the soft foam mat. This time, four small hands work together to build a wooden castle that is even bigger and stronger than before. They high-five each other with happy laughter.
