Elin looks out the window and sees the big, lonely moon. She wants to give the moon a warm hug before she goes to sleep.
It is a quiet, dark night outside. Little Elin stands by her large wooden window and looks up at the night sky. She sees a giant, bright moon standing all alone among the soft clouds, with no one to play with. Elin gently wonders why the moon has to stand there all by itself in the vast sky.
Elin really wants the moon to be happy, just like her. She presses her tiny hands against the cool glass of the window and gives the moon a very gentle, sweet smile. In a soft whisper, just like how she talks to her teddy bear, Elin comforts the moon, telling it not to be sad because she is right here.
Wanting to send lots of warmth, Elin stretches her arms out as wide as she can and gives herself a big, tight hug. She closes her eyes, imagining that she is reaching all the way up to the sky to hug the giant moon, sending all of her love up there.
When she opens her eyes to look again, the moon seems to be smiling and shining even brighter than before. Elin gives a long yawn, rubbing her eyes that are now heavy with sleep. She waves goodbye to her big friend in the sky and crawls into her cozy blanket, promising to see the moon again tomorrow.
