Counting Counting Stars

The night is late, and the house is very quiet. Noah has brushed his teeth, put on his soft pajamas decorated with glowing star constellations, and climbed into his familiar wooden bed. He hugs his white cotton pillow close and pulls the warm blanket up to his chest. As Noah gently closes his eyes and looks out of the glass window, the world around him begins to change magically. The wooden bed suddenly turns into a soft, fluffy white cloud, carrying him slowly up into the deep purple night sky.

The sky changes to a cool, dark blue, and glowing stars begin to drift down like autumn leaves. Noah reaches out his small hand to catch the very first star floating right in front of him. This first star shines with a warm light, blinking slowly like a nightlight. Right behind it, a second, larger star floats down, resting gently on the tip of Noah's finger. The little boy smiles warmly, quietly counting the two bright little friends that have come to visit him.

Two more stars appear from behind a giant yellow crescent moon floating in the room. The third star looks like a tiny paper lantern, casting a soft glow that lights up Noah's cloud pillow. The fourth star flies in a circle around the cloud, drawing golden trails of light that look like soft silk ribbons. Noah feels his eyelids growing very heavy as he watches the slow, sleepy flight of the twinkling stars.

By the time Noah counts the fifth star, his entire bedroom is filled with thousands of tiny, glowing lights like a quiet river of stardust. The stars stop flying and stand very still, casting a gentle, warm glow over the quiet space. Noah hugs his soft pillow, listening to the quiet night and whispering a soft goodnight to all the stars in the sky. He feels a peaceful, warm comfort spreading all over his body.

The floating cloud carries Noah deep into a peaceful, quiet sleep. The little stars land gently around his cloud bed, blinking their warm yellow lights like sleeping guards watching over his dreams. Noah closes his eyes tight, a sweet smile on his face as he drifts into a magical dream in the starry night. The room is completely quiet, filled only with the slow, even breaths of the sleeping boy.
