The Minty River Quest

Summer has arrived bringing hot, sunny days that make the entire forest feel very warm. The ground is dry and the leaves droop under the bright sun. A tiny squirrel, a long-eared rabbit, and a little bear cub sit under the oak tree, fanning themselves and breathing heavily in the heat. Seeing his friends so tired, Sunny decides to find something to cool the forest down

Sunny wraps his yellow scarf around his neck, puts his small cloth bag over his shoulder, and flaps his wings to fly toward the far mountains. He flies over dry valleys and empty hills to find the cool Minty River. Looking down from high above, the cool blue water flows gently between the gray rocks

Sunny lands on the riverbank and smells a sweet, cool scent coming from the bushes by the water. There are mint plants with tiny green leaves covered in fresh dewdrops. Sunny opens his cloth bag and uses his small feet to carefully pluck the fragrant leaves. He chirps as he gathers them - With all these mint leaves the water will be so refreshing

Sunny flies back to the oak tree with his bag full of sweet-smelling mint leaves. Together with the squirrel, rabbit, and bear cub, he helps carry a large basin of spring water. Sunny drops the mint leaves into the water, takes out his mini wooden spoon, and stirs it all together. The water bubbles up, turning a cool green and spreading a refreshing breeze

The squirrel, rabbit, and bear cub happily use coconut cups to scoop up the cool mint water. As soon as they drink the refreshing water, the heat disappears and everyone feels strong and cool. They laugh and play together under the shade of the big oak tree. The bear cub smiles and says - This is so cool and delicious, thank you Sunny
