The Sleepy Forest

Toby's bedroom is quiet and cozy at night. The crescent moon lamp in the corner casts a warm yellow glow, painting the shadow of Toby and Teddy on the wall. Toby moves his small fingers to make the shadow of a little bird flapping its wings. Teddy sits close, quietly watching the bird shadow fly. The two friends play together until Toby's eyes grow heavy with sleep. He slowly lies down, pulls up his warm blanket, and holds Teddy tight. As soon as Toby closes his eyes, a giant glowing blue leaf drifts through the window and lands softly by the bed. Toby holds Teddy's hand and they step onto the leaf, which feels as soft as a silk rug. The giant leaf slowly rises, carrying them out of the bedroom and into the night sky. The leaf glides past stars that shine with a soft yellow light, and the gentle breeze sways them as they sail toward a strange forest floating in the sky

The leaf lands softly on a patch of soft grass at the forest entrance, letting the two friends step down. In this magical place, giant trees float in the pale purple sky, and glowing rivers flow upward from the ground into the leaves. Toby and Teddy hold hands and walk under the shade of giant flowers that glow with a soft light. Going deeper, they see baby animals like a little squirrel and a baby owl lying inside giant velvet flowers, but their eyes are wide open because they cannot sleep

Usually, the velvet petals fold closed at night to make a quiet, dark nest that protects the baby animals from the wind. But tonight, a dry wind makes the petals stiff and dry, so they cannot fold. Bright starlight shines directly into the flowers, making the baby animals squint their eyes. Without the folded petals for protection, the little ones cannot sleep peacefully. Teddy looks at them with concern, gently patting his vest pocket to take out a bubble blower made of a dry twig

Teddy gently blows into the wooden tube, creating giant, rainbow-colored bubbles of cool dew. The dew bubbles float softly and pop gently over the velvet flowers, covering the petals with a layer of soft moisture. With the dew soaking in, the stiff petals instantly soften and fold closed, cradling the little squirrel and baby owl inside a dark, quiet flower nest. Under this cozy protection, the baby animals yawn and close their eyes, falling fast asleep

With the forest peaceful again, Toby and Teddy hold hands and step back onto the giant green leaf, letting it carry them gently home. The leaf floats through the window and fades away, leaving the two friends tucked under the star blanket in their cozy wooden bed. Toby pulls the blanket up to his chin, hugs Teddy close, and whispers softly before closing his eyes: - Thank you, my kind teddy bear, Teddy Teddy smiles and rubs his cheek against his tiny cloud pillow, and they both drift into a quiet sleep under the gentle protection of the crescent moon
