The River That Flowed Upwards

Kit the red fox puts on his shiny pilot goggles and steps into his leaf balloon. He looks up at the sky and sees a beautiful blue river flowing straight upwards into the quiet white clouds

The leaf balloon rises gently along the vertical path of water. Kit looks closely and sees tiny blue fish swimming happily up the river. One little blue fish is stuck on a floating green leaf and cannot move

Kit steers his balloon closer to the floating leaf. The kind fox wiggles his warm red and white checkered scarf, looks at the scared fish, and whispers - Do not fear, little fish The tiny fish wiggles its tail

Kit reaches out of his balloon and gently pushes the wet green leaf. The little fish splashes happily back into the blue river water. It blows a tiny round bubble to thank the kind fox

All the blue fish swim all the way up to their cloud nest. Kit steers his leaf balloon back down to the soft green grass. The tired fox closes his eyes and falls asleep in the warm breeze
